Important to note that any axle can fail at a lower power level due to wheel hop or misuse. The listed numbers should not be an expectation, but an idea for capability.
- The outer boots on any S550 based platform will be very close to the factory shocks. Clearance should always be inspected upon install to make sure they will clear without rubbing. The upper shock mount can also be loosened and moved away from the axle to provide a slight improvement with clearance. Some aftermarket shocks or coilovers may not clear and could require modification of the shock mount or possibly low profile boots.
